Light time series were not used within this implementation of NWS-InVitro. In its place a simple equation was used to give average light levels derived from the output of the biogeochemical model of Herzfeld et al.(2006).

  • This record describes Underway (UWY) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator Event voyage IN2014_E03. This is the first trial voyage for the RV Investigator departing Hobart on the 11th November and returning to Hobart on the 17th November 2014. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report. The UWY data from this trial voyage was assessed and will not be processed as the quality is too variable to make it feasible/useful. The unprocessed UWY data is part of the EOV archive and will not be released.

  • This dataset contains the processed Underway (UWY) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 04/86. The voyage took place in the Coral Sea during 20 May - 8 June 1986. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset may be contained in the cruise report for this voyage. This data set consists of NAV data only. The standard Underway (=continuously recorded) dataset from a research voyage includes Navigation (NAV), Sounder, Thermosalinograph (TSG) and Meteorological (MET) data. NAV data includes GPS (Global Positioning System) measurements of latitude, longitude, ship's direction and speed. MET data includes atmospheric temperature, humidity and pressure, wind speed and direction, and incident radiation intensity. Data are recorded at or averaged over 5 minute intervals.

  • This dataset contains the processed Underway (UWY) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 08A/86. The voyage took place in the Tasman Sea during 3-15 October 1986. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available). The standard Underway (=continuously recorded) dataset from a research voyage includes Navigation (NAV), Sounder, Thermosalinograph (TSG) and Meteorological (MET) data. NAV data includes GPS (Global Positioning System) measurements of latitude, longitude, ship's direction and speed. MET data includes atmospheric temperature, humidity and pressure, wind speed and direction, and incident radiation intensity. Data are recorded at or averaged over 5 minute intervals.

  • This dataset contains the processed Underway (UWY) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 03/88. The voyage took place in the Indian Ocean in Australian waters northwest of Ashmore Reef during 8-22 March 1988. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available).
